I love sewing baskets!! I found this one for .75 at the thrift store. But it was a little plain, it needed to be beautified like my other vintage basket. So for now it is being adorned with a lovely holiday pick. For now I love it, and it's a great addition to my teeny tiny collection.

One little fish
Remembering to pack the important things...
Socks, t-shirts, uniforms the list goes on and on. But one must always remember to pack the mascot. This tiny fish made one trip to Iraq and is now on his second deployment. Sara my oldest gave this to her daddy when he left a few years ago.

Isn't it funny, how in life, it's always the little things that count the most.

Jam
Every year my grandma made Jam, but not just any Jam~ Raspberry Jam from berries grown in Canada. (She would stow away redman tobacco ( from the U.S. )and trade it for huge fat berries). Gotta love her. So I decided to give it a try. I think I had it a little easier, because I purchased my berries locally (Sorry Redman~no trades for you). I got out the old Fanny Farmer Cookbook...
And whipped up a few jars... The result, kinda grainy not at all like grandmas. I don't know what I did wrong, but will try again next year. I feel some what ashamed... I got four jars. Grandma about 60. Berries you beat me this year, but wait till next year!!
